Ugandan grasshoppers, known as Nsenene (*Ruspolia differens), are a seasonal, nutritious delicacy, appearing in swarms during rainy months (April-June, Nov-Dec), prized for their crispy texture when fried with onions, offering protein and flavor, and harvested using bright lights and traps.
